Welcome to CK Dance Company
COVID Response
Please prepare your dancer for the new, safer environment at CK Dance. The floors in both studios are marked with the 6-foot safety space for each dancer and teacher. There are hooks that are 6 feet apart for the use of the dancers to place their belongings. There are also hooks in all the waiting areas and hallways that are 6 feet apart, for coats at boots for when the weather becomes colder. Please remind your dancers they must stay in their own private space, assigned to them, in all common areas and the studios. There can be no physical contact such as hugging, touching, or sharing belongings of any kind.
Class sizes will be limited to ensure the ability to social distance while in class. All instructors will have specific guidelines and protocols to follow in each class and will be executing these routinely each week. Please understand, as with anything new, it will take some time to get adjusted, but we are confident that the dancers will learn quickly and adopt these new ways of taking dance class with practice and frequent reminders. Please help us in this effort by reminding your children of these practices before class each week.
We understand some families may not feel safe coming back to in-person classes, so if we have enough people interested, we will then consider adding Zoom options to some classes. Please email [email protected] , and we’ll add you to the Zoom list.
20-21 class schedules currently listed may vary from 5-10 minutes to accommodate traffic control regulations in the hallways.
We want to keep you updated with all the latest CK Dance Company news, so please follow us on our FB page. Our new website is in the works and will also include all of the essential information.
Here are some things we are doing to ensure a healthy and safe environment for our CK Dance Community.
Do not enter the building if you or any family member in your household does not feel well, has a fever and/or have been in contact with any person diagnosed with COVID 19.
Do not enter the building if you’ve recently traveled out of state or the country. You must inform us of this before returning.
Dancers must arrive to class on time and picked up promptly.
All dancers must enter the building via the front entrance and exit the side door.
All dancers should use the restroom before entering the building. The bathrooms will be open but may only accommodate 1 person at a time and must be sanitized after every use.
Hand sanitizer provided by CK Dance Company must be used as you enter the building. We’ll also be providing sanitizing stations throughout the building.
You must wear a face-covering to enter or exit the building and in all common areas, including hallways, restrooms, and the lobby.
No Parents may enter the building with dancers age 7 and over. Dancers age 3-6 may have 1 adult enter the building with a mask and maintaining social distancing regulations. We will be placing chairs 6 feet apart, in the lobby and hallways, so social distancing regulations can be followed. We encourage all guardians to remain in their chairs while in the studio. Please do not move the chairs or rearrange the furniture. Also, please utilize the monitors and do not congregate at the viewing windows. Remember we are trying to keep everyone healthy and safe.
Dancers may remove face covering while taking class only if they’d like. Teachers will let them know when they can be removed and when they should be placed back on before dismissal.
All faculty will wear a face covering while teaching.
Dancers must stay in their social distancing space marked on the studio floors and ballet barres.
No physical touching is permitted in class, including handholding, high fives and or hugging in class.
Families will be required to make a sign, with your dancer’s name on it, to display in your windshield for pick-up safety.
Please DO NOT BE LATE FOR PICK-UP. We are not equipped to supervise children before or after their class time. CK Dance Company reserves the right to dismiss any family, permanently, if they do not respect this request. It is a public safety issue and will not have any exceptions.
Teachers will be lining up students, 6 feet apart, and releasing them through the side door when they see that the parent, with appropriate signage, is present for pick-up.
All classes will be dismissed 5 minutes early to allow for the dismissal process.
If you are carpooling, please be sure you send a note, signed by a parent, giving permission to the appropriate person picking them up. Also, be sure your child knows ahead of time who they are leaving with.
We ask that you do not hold large gatherings in the parking lot.
We are truly looking forward to a great year! Thank you for doing your part in helping us to ensure the health and safety of our entire dance community at CK Dance Company.
